Alot of Shopping!

WHEW! With Triples and all the other little deals I found I was busy today.

With our new budget constrictions I decided to try the *use cash only in envelopes* method this month for the first time. I went to the bank and got the money I have budgeted for the monthly shopping. Divided it into 4 weeks and have it seperated out.

NOW, with that in mind, I went ahead and used two weeks worth this week so I don't have to go shopping next week. With Triples I knew the money was better spent this week.

As usual, all of the stores are listed in seperate posts below.

Kmart

I have been needing a small check-size type expandable file for my coupons. The ones I cut but don't use , blinkies, received in the mail, IP's etc etc. I currently have them in a regular envelope but that can get tough to find what I need and they tend to fall apart.

Kmart in Greenville has several CUTE styles of this type of folder on clearance. They are back near the Stationary section on the outside wall.

Old El Paso deal at HT!

Thanks to a reader who comments on my site (YAY!!! At least I know someone enjoys this place..LOL) here is a deal she found at HT:

"You may already know this, but thought I'd let you know. At my HT there were peelies on some of the Old El Paso taco shell boxes to get them free if you bought 2 other OEP products. The shells are on sale for $1.50 and the seasoning packets are BOGO. If you buy the 3 you only pay for half of one of the seasoning packets and you should get a cat for $1 off a beef or chicken purchase. Wendy"

TRIPLES!

I have to say this was a pretty good Triples for me so far. Just got back and did 3 transactions total at 2 different stores. Confused yet??

Hubbie needed some things today so I had to go out anyway and decided to go ahead and get my weekly shopping done a few days early. ( I am trying to do all of my errands in one day to save gas since I am not working now)

Special Note- Triples at Harris Teeter is being confirmed for next week April 29th- May 5th!! Get those coupons ready! I like the fact that it seems they are trying to time Triples for around the 1st of the month so it probably hits Payday for alot of people! Very very smart move on HT's part I think.

It feels weird..

not to post more but I don't have anything to post about! I hate to be one of those blogs that recycles posts from all over the internet and other blogs unless it is one I think is just AMAZING.

And with the new trimmed down, tighter budget I am shopping ALOT less so those will be once a week or so.

Hmmmm... Maybe I will find something to write about sometime.

A change...

Well we are going to have a big change around here. One that will test my new frugal ways and force me to stick to a grocery budget no matter how good the deal!

I have decided to quit work for awhile and be home with the Little One for the summer. I actually am quitting now because of the Spring Break coming up as well.

I think we will be fine and I definitely think this will allow me to focus more on home and family.

Just remind me of that when I start to panic, ok?

:)

I tried to do the Palermo's Pizza B2G3 deal but the IP's wouldn't scan!!! I will try and reprint in color on normal and see if they will work that way.

This may sound bad but...

I bought 84.00 worth of beer today.....

Let me explain! My husband does like to drink a beer or 3 on the weekends and will go out and just buy whatever is on *sale*. Sometimes this means paying $13-$14 a case for beer. I knew I could do better... So I have been watching and waiting and this week HT has a great deal. 18pack of Natural Light for 7.77. Now I know this is 6 beers short of a case but figuring the per 6 price of
2.59 multiplied by 4 would be 10.36. Still at least $2 cheaper than I have seen a case go on sale for in the last 2 months. So I stocked up just like I would do on any good deal! Now he has beer for at least 6 months and I don't have to worry about him spending up to twice as much!!!

Another deal I came across- If you need to buy cards for Easter or other occasions you might want to check HT. At my store they have a deal in the card area. Purchase 4 American Greetings cards (each card must be at least 1.99) and receive a free plant kit! The plant kit is priced to sell at $9.99. It is a hanging basket plant kit that contains everything from the basket to the seeds and moss. There were 2 kinds to choose from, a strawberry plant and a flower basket with multiple types of flowers in it. My little one chose the flowers. So for 7.96 I got 2 birthday cards I needed and 1 Easter card and my little one picked out a card that she wouldn't let me see. (Her birthday is tomorrow, my nieces is the 7th, mine is the 9th and my Dad's is the 12th!) and one neat project for us to do! Not a bad deal! (And if you can get the Strawberry one it might be even better as you will get free Fruit!! LOL)

Harris Teeter-

4 American Greetings Cards @ 1.99 each
