Kroger is now being Boycotted!!

Kroger is now on boycott status. In Greenville they have lost their little minds there and are trying to make it so you can only use 1 like coupon per day. Period. And it is a store level change as they have to manually override the computers to do this. So I will no longer shop there until they come back to their senses. You can read all about it at savvydollar.org or Clippergirls blog.

A week of Craziness

Well the last week was busy and crazy and not alot of shopping hence the no new posts!
I tend to avoid the *big* shopping days like the plague as I am not one who enjoys fighting traffic and people... In this case my sanity is worth more than money saved. So I waited until yesterday to venture out a bit and get a few deals. Still lots to buy and alot of stores are only at 50% off still so for me it worked ok, I will check the 50% off stores next week to see if they have gone to 75%.
Also knowing HT is doing Triples this weekend made me wait on some stuff to see what comes out in the ads tomorrow.

Anyway here is what I did yesterday.

Walgreens- Hit the 75% off Christmas stuff here.
4 bags of Peppermint Patties marked down to .62 each

Between work the last few days and getting ready for the Big Red Guy next week I have been pooped! Went out today and quickly decided to get my mess done and get home. I am NOT a people person in general and REALLY hate crowds.

No real shopping today, had to work.
Did stop at Walmart to buy my daughter a green shirt. They wear uniforms now at school but on Friday they are having *Grinch Day* and asked that the kids wear Green. Umm yeah, seeing as the school colors are red, white and royal blue we don't really have any green in the wardrobe so I had to go buy a special shirt. Luckily Walmart had a cute Christmas shirt for just 4.50!

Also, HELLO to my new followers!!! Wow... I feel all special now!

Walgreens - More candy!

Walgreens has Russell Stover's Private Reserve (certain types) on sale 4.99 each this week. Combine that with the ESR for buy 2 and get $10 deal and this is at the least a freebie! Use the $1 Q's that were in the 12/14 inserts and it is a moneymaker!

Walgreens-
2 bags Russell Stover PR candy for 4.99
Total = 10.68 (tax included)
Saved- 2.00 sale
-2.00 from coupons
8.68 Paid for with GC

Good Deal Alert!

UPDATED:
Walmart even better!!! Buy one get 2nd 1/2 off:
7.49
3.75
=11.24
-$5/2 Q
=6.24 OOP
Then do the MIR to make a profit of over $8!!!

Found this at ClipperGirls blog:

CVS-
Buy 2 Oil of Olay Regenerating Cleansers for 7.99 each
Use $5/2 Q from 12/14 inserts
15.98
-$5 Q
=10.98 OOP

Use the receipt to mail in for a $15 GC from P&G- Form here. Between 12/14 and 1/14, must be postmarked by 1/28.
*I called the 800# listed on the MIR form to verify that GC would be a regular GC good towards anything anywhere. I did this because I know alot of us got caught with the Kellogg's Back to School offer in August from Harris Teeter. Silly $10 check only good at certain places for certain items! So per Becky at P&G, the GC should be a normal GC, no restrictions.

Moneymaker of 4.02!!!!

Then ask for another receipt (ask before you start transaction!!) so you can use this purchase towards the P&G $120 coupon book offer.
Hit CVS and Walgreens yesterday but was too busy to post it:

Walgreens-
1 RX for 11.99
Received 25.00 Gift Card from RX transfer
Spent 11.99

2 Ink Cartridge refills
($5 off coupon in flyer per refill)
Saved 20.00
Used GC to pay 5.35
Spent 0.00 OOP

*Now here is the kicker about the ink deal above. When Walgreens refills your ink they put the cartridge thru a print test after. If the cartridge fails their print test you are not charged for the refill!!! For some reason my color cartridge will not pass their test but works fine when I got it home. So basically I got a free refill. It may not last that long but at least it works now! (and the lady in the Photo Lab was the on who told me to try it when I got home as it would probably work ok. They just cannot charge for the refill if it fails their test!)

CVS-
2 3lb Folgers Coffee (Buy $20 and get $10 ECB deal) on sale for 10.00 each
Total 23.98
Saved 3.98 sale price
1.10 coupons
18.67 ECBs
Spent .26
Received $10 ECB

*Also of note, received email with coupon link for $3/$10 Xmas decorations, gift wrap or toys. Then in store(on bottom of receipt) I received a $5/$15 Holiday Decor, Trim, Lighting or Animation purchase. These could be used to get some good prices on that sorta stuff as they have alot of that stuff on sale this week.

Totals for the day-
Total (includes tax)- 61.35

Little One has been obsessing over the cat getting presents from Santa Claus. I was going to go to the Dollar Tree and get a few cat toys but while in WM today I found a Cat Toy Stocking filled with 20 toys for $5!!!
Saved-0.00
Spent-5.00

So all in all not a bad day today. Also found, for the first time, wine tags at HT for $$$ off meat purchases!!! Our HT NEVER has wine tags so I was really excited about that one. Also remember that the A&H deal at Walgreens is even better if you can print the $1/1 Q from their website. I had already used up all the prints I could do so still a good deal but that could really be a moneymaker if done right!
