I know as a Part Time Stay at Home Mom I have alot more time to shop then most people. I love that. I know I tend to make more trips but it does allow me to take advantage of deals as they pop up on my radar throughout the week. I hit Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods, CVS and Walgreens today. That all stemmed from needing to get hubbies RX filled!

I also called Catalina today and they are mailing me the CAT for free milk that did not print at Lowes Foods yesterday.

HT and Kmart

After deciding I was not gonna mess with the freebies this time at HT (let all the new guys have the fun of those!!! I was well stocked on everything. LOL) I did a bit more looking and they did have some good deals this week. Some had coupons, some not. But I was happy with the overall trip. The only thing missing is the Huggies wipes(sold out) so I will probably try for those on Saturday or Monday.

I also hit up Kmart Doubles of to $2 coupons.

Kmart

Well I HATE our Kmart and typically stay away but I do have some work things I have to go in and do from time to time. Luckily the current *Kmart Doubles up to $2 Coupons* deal was going on at the same time this time. I did not get much as they typically are out of everything at our store. But I did grab a few things.

*WARNING- Their computers do ALL of the doubling and they WILL NOT (at least at my store) make any corrections if the computer messes up. So check your receipts carefully and be prepared to return items if needed. The biggest problem I have seen is any coupon that is $/2 or $/3. The computer will only double up to the full price of the FIRST item. And they will not credit the difference to you in any way, shape or form as to allow you to get the 2 or 3 items.

5 bags of Goodlife Recipe cat food sale price 3.99 - $2/1 doubled x 2 and $3/1 x 3
1 bag Hershey Peppermint Patties 2.34 - $2/2 (the computer would not double to $4 so they just let me return one bag and reimbursed me the money. Came out to the same difference but I would rather have had 2 bags of candy! LOL)
1 Barbie Band Aids 2.79 - $1/1 doubled
1 Coke
1 Bottled Water (little one was with me and was DYING of thirst! LOL)

HT Triples

Looking at the possible freebies lists posted at various forums for the upcoming Triples at HT I am thinking I might actually sit this one out or at the very least not rush right out on Wednesday.

I am either wellstocked on the items or it is just honestly nothing we would use.

I guess I will wait til the sale paper hits on Wednesday and see what kinda deals folks find and then maybe go after the restock over the weekend.

Sorry about the no posting...

Guess who came home Thursday with the Flu??? Yeap the Little One.... So we have been dealing with fevers etc since Thursday. Yesterday we thought we might have turned the corner but then this morning it was back up to 101 so that means no school tomorrow too! Anyway, I am getting ready for Triples when I have time and luckily I was able to get my shopping done Thursday before she came home so I am pretty much done until at least Wednesday or Thursday.

SOOOO stocked up on Frozen Treats!!!!!

Lowes had a GREAT DEAL this week. Sue Stock linked a coupon/club offer on her column the other day. You sign up for Blue Bunny's IScream team and get a link for a $1 off any novelty item Q. When you print it, it prints using your normal print function so you can print as many as you like just by changing the print number from 1 to whatever you want. When I see these I generally limit myself to 6 prints.

ANYWAY, when I went to Lowes they had SEVERAL of the novelty items marked down for *Close Out*. Basically they were all reduced to at least 50% off or better. Combining this with the Q's I made out like a bandit!

Be sure to check your stores! Plus they had the *Use your greenpoints to get money off your order* deal.

I also stopped at HT and grabbed some great deals there!

Meatloaves made!

YAY!! Day 1 of following a weekly meal plan is complete and I did it! Made 18 mini meatloaves. 6 were cooked tonight and were very yummy! 3 are leftover for tomorrow night too. Also made homemade mac and cheese and Betty Crocker mashed potatoes and green beans.

I froze the other 12 for 4 more nights down the road.

So for 8.25 I made a main dish that will feed us for 6 nights total = 1.38 per night!!!!

Figure in the Man n Cheese(1.50) and the Mashed Potatoes(.30) and Green Beans(free), tonight was roughly 4.56!! With leftovers for tomorrow night!!!

Next up is Sausage and Cabbage Tuesday in honor of St Paddys Day !

I met the Kellogg's Coupon Fairy today!!

Did a little shopping today while out and about working and while at one of the Food Lions I met the Kellogg's Coupon Fairy!!! Honestly, that is exactly what I called him! LOL He laughed. Said he was the Rep for Kellogg's and puts out coupons ONCE A MONTH in the grocery stores. He is the one who puts the Peelies out! He confirmed they never seem to last long but he does do it once a month. He also gave me a TON of coupons!!!

Here is what he was putting out today (and gave me a ton of for free!!):

Did I say we were out of coffee???

Well not anymore! Went to HT today and did the BOGO. I had 4 CATS from other stores for the coffee. 1 from Kroger for $2/2 and 3 from Food Lion for $1/2. I had been holding on to them because Walmart will not take them (since they have the other store name on them, even though it CLEARLY says Man. Q across the top. /sigh) and was hoping for a BOGO deal. I will be shopping either tomorrow or Friday as well but wanted to go ahead and grab my coffee today!

Tuesday, March 10, 2009

Back in February I took advantage of the Easybakeware.com offer posted here. I did EXACTLY as she listed and today I received my free loaf pan for $1 shipping! So far no charges to my card for the *trials* that I cancelled the same day either. So if you see a deal like this again I would say jump on it! (I also did one for my mom the same day and she got hers as well!)

They do the freebies monthly but the shipping is normally 7.95. This is not bad either and if you order $25 or more you get free shipping. So in theory you could get 3 items for around $25-$30 depending on what you wanted. Not a bad price for Silicone bakeware products.

Forgot to get papers!

Since I was sick this weekend I slept in on Sunday morning. I woke up around 8am to Hubbie and the Little One heading out to go fishing. Hubbie said he would stop and get a couple of papers for me. (They sell out QUICK around here on Sundays!). I stumble back to bed for a bit since I had the house to myself! Around 11am I get a phone call and Hubbie tells me he forgot to get them earlier and should he try now. I knew there wouldn't be any that late so I figured I was just out of luck. Then I came across this post about someone ordering WHOLE INSERTS! HOW COOL!!!

So I check out the link she has and found that I could order 2 of each insert for 5.87 which includes shipping. Now I know that is more than if I had bought the papers but how NICE is it to have someplace to be able to get them if you forget like I did.

And actually I look at it as FREE because I joined YouData a few months ago and since they have been depositing the amounts I earn for simply clicking on ads targeted to me into my PayPal account, I had enough to cover the cost!

So it turned out ok in the end. I know alot of people use CouponClippers to buy coupons but it is nice to find another resource and one that sells the whole inserts is very cool!

Lowes Foods, HT and Walmart!

Wellll I let the CVS ECB expire. I just couldn't get to the store that day. I guess I will take it to my favorite CVS this weekend maybe and see if they will let me use it. I know it is up to each store manager if they do or not.

And to top it off, I am sick AGAIN!!! We just got over a nasty coughy cold in the last week or so. That one lasted a few weeks. Then yesterday the itchy throat, sneezing and clogged up ear started. And the nose blowing. OMG the nose blowing. My poor nose is already raw! So I ran out today to grab a few good deals, figuring as this was just day one of The Snot Fest, I would probably feel better today than I will for the next few days.

Can you tell I am a bit CRANKY over being sick AGAIN so SOOOOOON?!?!?!?
